As you may already know, the Yeezy Boost 350 Low has already sold out, and took only 12 minutes to do so. And as you also may know, people are trying to sell them on eBay for up to $10,000—a steep increase from the $200 retail price. Before you cut into your savings account, we’re here to tell you there’s hope. Sort of.
Austin McAllister started AMAC Customs at the age of 15 as a way to re-design his favorite sneakers in ways that major labels weren’t. Four years later, the Yeezy Boost 350s were released and Austin saw an opportunity.
“To be honest with you, I really wanted the Yeezy Boost 350 from Adidas and I struck out,” Austin told MTV News over email. “So I did the only thing I knew to do, and created my own!”
The custom sneakers, which go on sale this Friday at 6 p.m. CST, have a grey Nike Roshe Run base and an Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 pattern that Austin handpainted himself.
